What do we choose to hold onto, and what are we willing to make room for? Holding Space began with the image of a tiny hummingbird nest built inside a square box. Over the two years I worked on the piece, its meaning shifted as my own life changed. What began as a reflection on loss gradually became a piece about memory and the unexpected ways our lives continue to open. Holding Space is about what has shaped us while still leaving room for what may come next.
