Code of Conduct

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to foster a respectful, collaborative and professional
environment for artists, visitors, and the broader community. Members agree to uphold the
principles outlined below.

1. Respect and Professionalism
MODUS FINE ART respects and celebrates the diversity of artistic expression, backgrounds,
cultures and ideologies among its members, provided that such expression is presented in a
professional manner consistent with the mission of MODUS. MODUS exists solely to support
the creation, exhibition, and appreciation of high quality, fine art and to foster a respectful and
collaborative community of artists. MODUS exists as a place where artists and visitors can
engage with art in a welcoming and professional environment. Our focus is the advancement
of artistic practice, the encouragement of creative dialogue, and the enrichment of the cultural
life of our community. MODUS does not adopt or promote political, social, or ideological
positions but allows its artists to express such positions within reasonable bound. Its focus
remains on art, professionalism, and community. All individuals are welcome and will be
treated with dignity and respect. Discrimination or harassment of any kind—based on race,
color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic—will not be
tolerated. To preserve a unified and inclusive environment, MODUS is not a venue for political
or ideological advocacy. Members agree to avoid conduct, displays, or activities that introduce
division, factionalism, or conflict within MODUS community. Members are encouraged to
engage with one another in a spirit of mutual respect, even when differences of opinion arise.

2. Supportive Community
Members are expected to support the success of MODUS and fellow artists, learning from and
giving to one another. This environment is sustained when each Member participates in other’s
exhibitions, cross-promotes gallery events and presents the artwork of other Members with
equal and genuine enthusiasm to interested parties.

3. Integrity in Sales and Representation
Members agree to conduct business honestly. Artwork displayed in MODUS should not be sold
privately in a way that undermines gallery sales.

4. Responsible Use of MODUS
Members using MODUS for events must respect the space, clean up after events and follow
scheduling procedures.

5. Conflict Resolution
We greatly value our community and relationships. When conflicts arise between members or
with MODUS, we encourage respectful, mature and open conversation between the parties
involved. If resolution is not achieved, then we encourage mediation through other members
or MODUS. Public disputes or behavior that harms the reputation of MODUS will not be
tolerated.

6. Commitment to the Collective
MODUS operates through shared effort, creating a fulfilling environment where everyone
contributes from their strengths and no one feels overburdened. This is why Members are
expected to fulfill their volunteer responsibilities and contribute positively to the group.

7. Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in termination of membership. Decisions are
made by MODUS.
