How much of what we see do we assume we understand? Hailey, Maple, Basil, and Percy combines an actual stone with my usual stones carved from wood. It also pairs a very curvy piece of wood with very straight legs. Through these contrasts, the bench invites reflection on how we see ourselves and one another, and how our assumptions can shape how we connect with others.
